Mount Olive Middle School Celebrates Student Creativity at the 2026 Art Show

June 2026

On Wednesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m., Mount Olive Middle School welcomed families, friends, staff members, and community members to the 2026 Art Show, an evening dedicated to celebrating the creativity, talent, and hard work of our student artists.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore hundreds of student-created works displayed throughout the showcase. From detailed drawings and paintings to collaborative installations and cross-curricular projects, the exhibition highlighted the imagination, skill, and artistic growth of students across all grade levels. Throughout the evening, students proudly shared their artwork with guests, creating a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

The success of the event was made possible through the dedication and hard work of art teachers Mrs. Carubia and Mrs. D'Andrea. Their efforts in preparing, organizing, and displaying hundreds of student projects transformed the space into a vibrant gallery that celebrated student achievement and artistic expression.

This year's show also featured several unique collaborative projects. The event highlighted the strong cross-curricular connections taking place throughout the school, with projects developed in partnership with teachers from science, world languages, social studies, and family and consumer sciences. Students showcased work inspired by topics such as Día de los Muertos, Mardi Gras, cultural traditions, environmental themes, and personal reflections on American identity.

The Art Show was truly a school-wide effort. Special thanks go to the many staff members who supported the event, including teachers who collaborated on projects throughout the year, administrators who helped coordinate resources, custodial staff who assisted with setup and preparation, and security personnel who helped ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees.

The evening served as a powerful reminder of the important role the arts play in education. Through their artwork, students demonstrated creativity, critical thinking, cultural understanding, and personal expression while sharing their accomplishments with the community.

Mount Olive Middle School extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to making the 2026 Art Show such a memorable success. Most importantly, congratulations to our talented student artists whose creativity and dedication were the true highlights of the evening.
